 Sherry
McGregor was born and raised in the Delta of
Mississippi. She moved to Murphy, NC in
1985-1986 with her three young daughters,
and her son. Being raised in the country
lifestyle, Murphy was the ideal place for
Sherry to raise her four children, and it
fast became their home.
Sherry graduated from high school at the
tender age of 16 and continued on with her
education in practical nursing. She
graduated from practical nursing school in
1972, at the age of 17 and became licensed
at the age of 18. After having worked as a
practical nurse in a number of various
areas, she decided to pursue the real estate
industry and obtained her real estate sales
associate license in January of 1993, then
in September obtained her broker's license.
She originally opened and operated
Timberwood Mountain Realty out of her home,
and has remained as Broker-in-Charge/Owner
the entire time.
Hard work, ethics, and determination are her
trademarks. Always willing to go the second
mile, she has met and kept many repeat
customers over the years. Having lived in
the area for 22 years and with 14 years of
real estate experience, she is both
knowledgeable and aware of what it takes to
live in the mountains of Murphy, NC.
 Sherry enjoys reading, writing, singing,
pursuing more education in her profession and
is always up for a challenge. Her children
are her pride and joy, along with her pet
and best friend Maggie, the miniature daschund. One of the newest and most
exciting things life has brought to Sherry
are her grandchildren. Being very domestic,
she enjoys quiet evenings at home, movies,
and entertaining dinner guests.
She loves her profession and her work, and
is always willing to answer phone calls and
messages from her customers, at any hour of
the day or night.
